GREAT News!!! All-Day...Hooray!
I just got word that I will be teaching All-Day Every-Day Kindergarten next year!!! It's official! I cannot tell you how excited I am! I don't think that it would be that big of a deal except that I've been teaching 1/2 Day Kindergarten for 2 years now. Prior to that I taught Full Day Kindergarten for 3 years and LOVED every. single. moment! Cannot wait to get to "fully" know 20 kids as opposed to getting to "kinda" know 44 kids. Oh, and the conferences...I will only have 2 nights instead of 2 nights and 2 days! Ooooh, and the lessons that I will be able to teach them now! So, so, so EXCITED!!!

That's fantastic! So excited for you and those kiddos who get to learn all day instead of just half a day!
ReplyDeleteI am so happy for you!! You and I both know how stressful teaching two sections of half day Kindergarten is. You are going to be amazed with how much you can get done in one day with those wonderful kiddos. So exciting:)

DeleteWhen I was in P-town I taught all day k for 3 years and when I wanted to teach closer to home I had to "down grade" to 1/2 day... :( You are right, it's just not the same. I'm super excited to bring the fun back into our Kindergarten day, instead of go, go, go all of the time. I think that I'm most excited that I will only have 20 conferences instead of 44! What about you? What are you doing next year, have you decided yet? Hope all is going well with your little bundle...they grow up fast don't they?!?!
